Mandy Merrifield is the proud owner of The Professionals salon and a highly experienced hairstylist. With years of industry expertise, she has not only mastered the art of hairdressing but has now begun to train and mentor aspiring stylists. As a qualified instructor, Mandy founded The Professionals Hair Academy to provide high-quality training for all skill levels - from complete beginners to seasoned professionals looking to refine their techniques. Her hands-on approach and commitment to excellence ensure that every student gains the confidence and expertise needed to thrive in the hairdressing industry.

  • Not at all! The courses and workshops are open to anyone with an interest in learning new skills. While some experience might be helpful for the more advanced sessions, you don’t need to be an expert to take part.

  • Yes, we provide all the equipment you'll need on the day. Included in the course price is a basic set of the tools you'll be using, which you're welcome to take home with you.

  • Absolutely – we want to make sure you feel fully supported, so we encourage you to get in touch with any follow-up questions after the course has finished. We also offer a shadowing option, where Mandy can join you during your first trial of your new skill outside of the course.

  • Unfortunately, we don’t currently offer virtual classes – all of our courses take place in person at the salon in Bingley.
